In short
This is a small campaign website, and it is built to stay that way. It sets two cookies, both of them necessary, both set by this site alone. There is no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and no selling or sharing of visitor data with anyone. Anything beyond the necessary cookies stays switched off until you turn it on.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your computer, phone or tablet. It lets the site remember something between one page and the next — for example that you already answered this cookie notice, or that a form you are filling in belongs to you.
You do not have to accept anything beyond the necessary cookies to use this website. If you turn cookies off entirely in your browser, you will still be able to read every page here, though the campaign forms may stop working properly.
Cookies this website uses
What this website does not do
- No advertising or marketing cookies. Nothing here is used to build an advertising profile, to retarget you elsewhere, or to match you against a political data broker's list.
- No third-party trackers. Fonts, images, scripts and styles are served from this website itself, so opening a page does not quietly report your visit to another company.
- No sale or trade of personal information. Ever, and least of all during an election.
- No social media pixels. The Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn icons in the footer are plain links. They only take you there if you click them.
Web server logs
Like every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps short-lived technical logs — the page requested, the time, the browser type and a shortened IP address. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure. They are not cookies, they are not linked to anything you submit through a form, and they are not used to identify individual visitors.
Changing your mind
Your choice is stored on your own device for 12 months. You can change it at any time:
- Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page, or .
- Or clear cookies for this site in your browser, which resets the question entirely.
Every current browser also lets you block or delete cookies for all websites — usually under Settings → Privacy. Doing that will not lock you out of anything you can read here.
Forms, email and your information
Cookies are only part of the picture. Anything you actively type into a campaign form — your name, your email address, a message — is covered by the Privacy Policy. In short: it is used for campaign communication, volunteer coordination and campaign administration only, consent to campaign updates is optional and never pre-ticked, and you can ask to be removed at any time.
The campaign follows British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for email updates, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
