Whistler elects a Mayor and six Councillors on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The dates and rules are spread across several official pages, so we put them together in one place: How to Vote in the 2026 Whistler Election.
What is on the page
- Every key date, in order: nominations closing, every all-candidates meeting, both advance voting days, the mail-ballot deadline and General Voting Day itself.
- Three ways to vote — advance voting at the Whistler Public Library, General Voting Day at Myrtle Philip Community School, or by mail.
- Who can vote, for residents and for non-resident property owners, and how to register if you are not yet on the voters list.
- A link to the official source next to every item. Nothing on the page is written from memory — if anything differs from the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s own pages, the official page is right.
Why a campaign site carries it
You will vote for up to six Councillors. I am asking for one of those six votes — but the first step is that people who live and work here actually get to the ballot. Advance voting on October 7 or October 10 takes a few minutes; if neither works, a mail ballot does.
The page will be kept up to date as whistler.ca publishes more detail. If you spot a mistake, tell me.
Update, September 23, 2026. Re-checked against whistler.ca. The page now carries the voting hours (8 a.m. to 8 p.m., both advance days and October 17) and the two further all-candidates meetings on October 1 and October 6. The two School Trustees were elected by acclamation, so the ballot has a Mayor and six Councillors on it.
