- I spent more than three years on the WHA ownership waitlist before buying in Pemberton.
- Rental housing cannot be the only answer.
What I’ll Advocate For
- Support more employee-restricted ownership alongside rental housing.
- Use appropriate municipal land and responsible infill where infrastructure supports it.
- Set measurable goals and work with WHA, developers and other levels of government.
What Council Can and Can’t Do
- Council cannot make the private market inexpensive.
- Council can act through land use, zoning, municipal land, housing policy and partnerships.
